But the 1st morning the bus came to pick my Alex up I jumped into my car and followed it to the school. I being the paranoid, worry mom I am had to make sure my little Alex got to school safely. At least I was able to snap a few pictures of Alex getting off the bus. Alex loves riding the bus and loves going to school. He is in a class with 6 other boys, which is a change for him being the only boy with a bunch of girls in Nursery at church. I can't believe my little boy is old enough to go to school already even though its just pre-school. He is 3 1/2 yrs old and my little chatter box, he is growing up so fast.

Em, Dev, Alex Bellistonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13232569155485293943noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6962422678649690306.post-76448936996997251212010-11-04T06:40:00.000-07:002010-11-04T07:09:34.504-07:00Halloween 2011Hi Ya'll, I know Ive been out of the bloging world for a long while. I really need to get better at this. I just wanted to post a few pictures. We had a great Halloween this year. Alex's school was havin a Halloween carnival where Alex got to go on a hay ride, play some games, and get more candy and prizes. We went to our church's Trunk or Treat and also went to a place called Patriots park to go trick or treating to different businesses. We ended up with lots of candy. We all decided to dress up for Halloween so Devon was Samauri Jack, Alex a Lightning Mcqueen race car, and I wanted to do something that would go along with Alex's costume so I dressed up as a Black Road. We Hope Everyone Had a Spooktacular Fun and Safe Halloween. I love this time of year when the leaves change color, cooler weather, and the Holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas where Families can spend time together. Love Ya'll! I'll try to be better and keep everybody updated about us.

My Little Race Car Driver Alex

Alexander Loved the Hayride

Em, Dev, Alex Bellistonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13232569155485293943noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6962422678649690306.post-64457446435201886952010-01-17T20:43:00.000-08:002010-02-05T06:03:07.794-08:00A day at the Beach
Hi Everyone, I don't have a lot of time to write but I wanted to put on a quick note. We went to St Petersburg, Florida Beach. It was Alexander's 1st time, he loved walking on the white sand and playing in the cold water. It was a nice cloudy 70 degree weather day didn't think we needed suncreen so we got sunburned. You wouldn't think on a cloudy rainy day you'd get burned but we did. I'll explain more on my next post why we went to Florida. Here a little video of Alex playing in the water & Devon's sister Teresa Boren collect Seashells that were all over the sand, he had so much fun.

Em, Dev, Alex Bellistonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13232569155485293943noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6962422678649690306.post-72685810800458196652010-01-10T23:15:00.000-08:002010-01-10T21:22:23.948-08:00Christmas 2009 We had a nice Christmas with just the 3 of us. Devon took 2 weeks off work so it was nice to have him home for the holiday. We decided to go to the Columbia, South Carolina Zoo and Aquarium, It was Alexander's 1st time at a zoo. We had fun walking around looking at all the different animals, reptiles and fishes. I think Alex's favorite part was riding on the Carousal & feeding the Giraffes by hand.

Also here in Georgia we went to "The Lights Of The South" where there were thousands of lights on display. We bundled up, had some hot chocolate and went on a hay ride down a trail with Lots of Christmas lights, it was a little chilly but we had a blast. On Christmas Eve we invited over Devon's Air Force buddy Adam Helt to spend the day with us watching movies and enjoying a delicious meal that included a Honey baked ham, corn, homemade Macaroni and Cheese, green salad and some sourdough garlic bread. One of Alex's favorite places to go and Mom's cause after a few hours of running around and playing; by the time we get home the little one is all run down and ready for a nap. I wish Kids could share some of there Energy with us cause I could sure use some. Whenever we go to the mall I always have to bring about $5.00 in quarters so Alex can go on the little kid rides. Then the other time is spent going up and down either the Elevators or escalator stairs. And then finally end our time by walking around and around about 10 times the water fountain outside in the cold 40 degree weather. The mall is a great place to go when you want to get out of the house and want something to do that's not expensive. They had a Flea market & a mini carnival right by each other. We didn't go on any rides but it was fun to walk around plus get some Carmel Apples to snack on (Yummy). I've never really been into Halloween but having a kid makes it more fun being able to dress up & go Trick or Treating. We decided to go to our church's Halloween party, there was lots of little games for the little kids to play and trick or treating door to door inside cause it was to cold to do a trunk or treat outside. It was neat to see all the different costumes and ideas people had. The Weather decided to make it rain on Halloween Day so there wasn't too many people out, luckily it stopped for a hour so we weren't completly wet. When we returned home with our load of candy,we dumped out Alex's Elmo bucket. Alex sat down by all the candy and threw a side all the chocolate and picked out the suckers and gummy candies and ran off with them so his mommy/daddy couldn't have them. Alex doesn't like chocolate so I'm happy to eat the chocolate leftovers. Overall we had a good time and we're now looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas Time. Happy Holidays to Ya'll! Angel Emilee, My little Indian Boy Alex and Devon as Indiana Jones
Em, Dev, Alex Bellistonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13232569155485293943noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6962422678649690306.post-32063362523942774932009-10-12T05:54:00.000-07:002009-10-12T06:32:22.861-07:00Walk for Autism

Alexander's Speech Therapist had mentioned that there was going to be a "Walk for Autism" so we decided to go and check it out. There was music playing and tables set up with T-shirts you could buy, Pizza, kid toys, information on Autism and people you could talk with about Autism/different methods of therapys. We were able to get some good info. With Alex having mild autism its nice to learn more about it so I'll know how to handle it better. It was a nice day and Alex loved being outside. My little boy Alex and I are hardly at home, only to Eat, Nap, sometimes able to clean house, and then bedtime. We spend most our days running around to Alexander's therapys. I always look forward to Saturdays cause that is my only day off to stay at home,Relax and do nothing but sing and play with Alex. Devon recently took a big test that he's been studying for awhile that deals with his line of work and he passed it. Hooray!! His Air-Force supervisor had told him that it he failed the test he would only have 1 more time to take it and if he failed it the 2nd time they would boot him out of the US. AF. So we are so glad he passed the test and doesn't have to worry about taking another one until 2 years.

On one of Dev's day off we decided to take Alex to a place called Monkey Joes. Alex liked going down the slides & running around. There was a little car he climbed into that with 50 cents would move back & forth , he loved that. He cried when we finally had to pry his fingers loose to get him out so another kid could take a turn. Alex even got to met Monkey Joe when a person dressed as a purple monkey came out to greet the kids. It was a fun place, I'm thinking of having Alexander's 3rd birthday party there, he seemed to really enjoy it. Here are a few pictures..

Em, Dev, Alex Bellistonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13232569155485293943noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6962422678649690306.post-621011692558753652009-07-13T12:00:00.000-07:002009-07-13T08:54:57.775-07:00Americus, Ga .Trip
We are back from our short trip, but everything went really well. It was quite interesting but It really made me think how blessed & thankful I am for the home we live in and everything we have. We were told we had to go see the Windsor Hotel so when we got there it was really neat. The Windsor Hotel was built in 1892 it is believed to be haunted by 3 friendly ghosts, a house keeper and her little girl who were pushed down the elevator shaft and the doorman who supposively haunt the 3rd floor of the hotel. The front desk person told us the ghost hunters from the tv show came to there hotel and filmed some stuff, the ghost hunter also said they did feel a presence and saw ghostly imaged on there screens. We explored the 3rd floor but didn't see anything.
We took Alex to his Developmental specialist doctor, to me it was mainly a follow up visit and update him on everything that's going on with Alex and overall his Doc said Alex is still to young to diagnois anything, usually you can tell more once they are in the age group 3-5yrs. The doc said to continue with all Alex's therapies and that Alex shows signs of having Mild Autism which with therapy could just wear off the older he gets. I HOPE! We are all doing good, it just can get extremly stressful & overwhelming at times. I'll put some pictures of our trip on my next post.

Em, Dev, Alex Bellistonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13232569155485293943noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6962422678649690306.post-65284219156257539192009-06-23T06:02:00.000-07:002009-06-23T07:57:24.322-07:00Have a Ball
I decided to get an exercise ball, been wanting one for a while and now Alex thinks he has found a new toy. I'm just worried how Alex will do with the long drive cause he tends to get motion sickness if he is in the car longer then 30 minutes so we'll see what happens. Not much else is going on. My April Fool's baby! He actually did fool us cause my water broke and I started to have slight contractions on March 30th so I got to watch general conference in the hospital and then at 2:48 a.m. on April 1st 2007, our little Alexander Neil Belliston came into our lives. It's amazing how much kids change in just a year time. We decided to do a quiet birthday with just the 3 of us this year. Alex still not into the whole birthday stuff yet. He had one bite of his Pablo Backyardigan's cake and that was all he wanted. He's not really into the sweet stuff mostly just wants Veggies and Fruits. I wish I could be a healthy eater like him but I like Chocolate to much. Alexander has only been 2 yrs old a week but he's got down the terrible two's perfectly. I think that something clicks on in their cute little brains so when they turn 2 yrs old it says okay now it's time to start throwing tantrums, whinnying, stomping around, throwing things, begin with all the kicking and high pitch screaming and everything else. I think I realize why people call it the terrible two's, now that I'm experiencing it. Anyone want to borrow a 2 yr old for a little while?? No I'd miss him to much. Alex has been such a blessing and Joy in our life even with all the stress and challenges we're facing. I Love You Alexander! Everything is going pretty good with us. We send our hugs and kisses out to anyone who needs them. Love ya'll!Em, Dev, Alex Bellistonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13232569155485293943noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6962422678649690306.post-26413942564869493132009-02-21T20:22:00.000-08:002009-02-21T20:58:03.489-08:00We are Moving!
Well this coming week we will be packing up our stuff and moving out of this apartment we're in now. It's a joy to watch him when he learns something new, he gets so proud of himself and has a huge smile on his face. He is so special and fun to have around. I've been feeling lately that my son Alex may have some kind of autism, and I'm okay with that. All his doctor's wanted to do different testings to see if the development delays might be caused by something else before they diagnose it as autism. If it is, I know it will be challenging but working together with Devon and with the Lord's help we will get through this. Here is a couple pictures we took when Alex was getting his EEG done. We had a couple of visitors, Devon's dad and step mom stayed with us for one day. We enjoyed watching the BYU vs UTAH football game together, dinner, and talking about good times. It was a quick visit but it was really nice to see family and spend some time with them. They even brought alex a new toy a Jack in the box, Alex was so excited to play with it. Devon, Alexander, and I went over to our friend Navy Adam's house. It was fun. They have a little farm with chickens, pigs, goats, cats and a big yard to run around in. Alex enjoyed walking around looking at all the different animals and playing with Adam's 7 month old little girl Cassie. We took Alex to see Santa even though it was pouring down rain outside. We walked over to the Apartment Manager's office where they had a pretty decorated Christmas tree and Santa sitting in a big chair letting little kids come sit on his lap. We usually go to the mall and get pictures with santa there but this year we were lucky to be able to take our own pictures, plus it was Free. I'm always up for free stuff. Santa even told Devon And I that we are never to old to sit on Santa's lap so we even joined in the fun by getting our picture with santa. Santa had a real beard too. This coming weekend we are looking forward to flying back to our hometown in Logan Utah for Christmas. It will be great to see family and friends. I'll end our blog with pictures. I hope that ya'll have a wonderful Christmas Holiday and a very Happy New Year! Be Safe and remember what the true meaning of Christmas is all about. We love Ya'll and have a Merry Christmas!<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280769544208038594" style="FLOAT: right; Last night it got down in the 30's which is cold for here. Our Heater for some reason isn't working right, its blowing cool air out of the vents instead of heat like it should be. I'm gonna have to call the maintenance people to come fix the heater before we all freeze. Wouldn't it be nice to have warm sunny weather all year round. I sure would like that. It's time to get out our winter clothes, curl up on the couch with a blanket and a nice cup of hot chocolate. This coming weekend Devon's dad & step mom are coming for a visit. Hooray for family. It can get pretty lonely living so far away from family & friends. We've only been in Georgia for 5 1/2 months now and most of the friends we've made are military so they come and go. We are loving the military life, it has great benifits. The air-force is paying for all of Alexander's therapy and tests so that helps out a lot. My husband Devon works in Network Intelligence, which he enjoys but just doesn't like his new hours he works 2pm till 12 midnight, so that doesn't leave him much time to do much other than just sleep. Thats all for now.

Em, Dev, Alex Bellistonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13232569155485293943noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6962422678649690306.post-55107232707700938722008-10-31T08:00:00.000-07:002008-10-31T20:03:46.852-07:00Trick Or Treat

Last Friday was my church's Halloween Trick or Treat party. We had fun dressing up and going door to door getting lots of candy, which Devon and I ended up eating cause Alex's not into the sweet stuff yet. Today is Halloween. I've never really been into Halloween, but now that I have Alex it makes it more fun. Tuesday Alex and I both had the flu. Luckily we are feeling better and are now ready for some Trick or Treating fun and maybe some scary movies tonight when the kid is a sleep. Does anyone have any Halloween traditons? Just thought I'd get some ideas. We drove around for about a hour an a half to a few houses to get some candy, that was about all Alex would allow then he wanted to go home plus Devon had to go to work. He is now working the night shift 10pm to 6am. He likes it cause he's a night owl . It's nice to have him home in the daytime so we can go do things around town if we want to.
During the week we stay pretty busy. Mondays I take Alex to Occupational Therapy, Tuesday is Physical Therapy and Thursday Speech Therapy. Last week we took Alex to a Genetic Doctor so he could get some blood drawn. They wanted to check his chromosomes to see if theres anything that might be causing Alex's slow development delay. We havent gotten the results back yet but will be sure to keep everyone updated when we find out more. Alex's Developmental Specialist also wants our little boy to have a couple other tests done like a MRI and a EEG, to check to see if he might be having unknown seizures that also could cause a developmental delay but we havent scheduled those yet. I feel bad to have to put Alex through all these things but hopefully it will help him progress in things he should be doing now. Alex is 19 months old and the doctors say he is at a 7 month level.
Em, Dev, Alex Bellistonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13232569155485293943noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6962422678649690306.post-57729421744183716742008-10-18T08:30:00.000-07:002009-06-08T21:59:11.398-07:00It's Fall Season TimeWe Just watched the movie"Made Of Honor" yesterday, it was really cute. If you haven't seen it I highly recommend seeing it. Well I'm thinking it's starting to be BUG Fall season cause we found a big Cockroach in Alex's bath tub, which my husband was brave enough to catch it and kill it outside. Georgia has big bugs! Okay in the first place I hate MOTHS and absolutely are afraid of them so Alex and were going to run some errands so I locked our apartment door and when I turned around right next to me on the wall was a giant MOTH no kidding it was the size of my hand thats how big it was. We walked slowly by it not to disturb it and I was trying really hard not to freak out but we survived. I don't do well with bugs or any creepy things that move.

An air-force buddy that my husband Devon works with was having a barbecue so we went. I'm not a meat eater so I fixed me a pickle & cheese sandwich. It may sound like a weird combination but its actually pretty good. After I decided to go shopping for a Halloween costume for Alex and found a cute samari ninja outfit at Old Navy, which was marked 40% off, it was a great deal so I had to get it. I took Alex to his 18 month Dr. checkup and he had to get his shots. It's so hard to see kids get their shots cause they are so happy and dont know whats about to happen to them. Then their cute little smiles turn to screams and cries. At least they forget about it. All is good though. Devon has a bad cold so Alex and I are trying really hard not to get it by spraying everything with Lysol and taking that herbal AirBourne formula. Hopefully we'll be able to keep the cold bugs away from us.Em, Dev, Alex Bellistonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13232569155485293943noreply@blogger.com1
