Alexander's 1st day at school
I finally gave in to letting Alex ride the school bus to and from school. But the 1st morning the bus came to pick my Alex up I jumped into my car and followed it to the school. I being the paranoid, worry mom I am had to make sure my little Alex got to school safely. At least I was able to snap a few pictures of Alex getting off the bus. Alex loves riding the bus and loves going to school. He is in a class with 6 other boys, which is a change for him being the only boy with a bunch of girls in Nursery at church. I can't believe my little boy is old enough to go to school already even though its just pre-school. He is 3 1/2 yrs old and my little chatter box, he is growing up so fast.

Halloween 2011

Hi Ya'll, I know Ive been out of the bloging world for a long while. I really need to get better at this. I just wanted to post a few pictures. We had a great Halloween this year. Alex's school was havin a Halloween carnival where Alex got to go on a hay ride, play some games, and get more candy and prizes. We went to our church's Trunk or Treat and also went to a place called Patriots park to go trick or treating to different businesses. We ended up with lots of candy. We all decided to dress up for Halloween so Devon was Samauri Jack, Alex a Lightning Mcqueen race car, and I wanted to do something that would go along with Alex's costume so I dressed up as a Black Road. We Hope Everyone Had a Spooktacular Fun and Safe Halloween. I love this time of year when the leaves change color, cooler weather, and the Holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas where Families can spend time together. Love Ya'll! I'll try to be better and keep everybody updated about us.

A day at the Beach

Hi Everyone, I don't have a lot of time to write but I wanted to put on a quick note. We went to St Petersburg, Florida Beach. It was Alexander's 1st time, he loved walking on the white sand and playing in the cold water. It was a nice cloudy 70 degree weather day didn't think we needed suncreen so we got sunburned. You wouldn't think on a cloudy rainy day you'd get burned but we did. I'll explain more on my next post why we went to Florida. Here a little video of Alex playing in the water & Devon's sister Teresa Boren collect Seashells that were all over the sand, he had so much fun.

Christmas 2009

We had a nice Christmas with just the 3 of us. Devon took 2 weeks off work so it was nice to have him home for the holiday. We decided to go to the Columbia, South Carolina Zoo and Aquarium, It was Alexander's 1st time at a zoo. We had fun walking around looking at all the different animals, reptiles and fishes. I think Alex's favorite part was riding on the Carousal & feeding the Giraffes by hand.
Also here in Georgia we went to "The Lights Of The South" where there were thousands of lights on display. We bundled up, had some hot chocolate and went on a hay ride down a trail with Lots of Christmas lights, it was a little chilly but we had a blast. On Christmas Eve we invited over Devon's Air Force buddy Adam Helt to spend the day with us watching movies and enjoying a delicious meal that included a Honey baked ham, corn, homemade Macaroni and Cheese, green salad and some sourdough garlic bread. It was nice to have someone else to enjoy the holiday with when our family and close friends live so far away. Our Christmas Mornin started at 5am when our Alex alarm clock went off waking us up. To me Christmas time is a lot more fun when you have a kid to watch them playing in the wrapping paper and see the excitement on their faces when they see what Santa Clause has brought them. We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

One of my new year resulutions is to start posting more in our blog. I'm
trying to get better at making more
time to update our blog more often.
Best Wishes for Everyone in this New Year 2010!

A day at the Mall

With Christmas and New Year Holidays, all of Alexander's regular therapy sessions were cancelled so not wanting to be stuck in the house all day we took a trip to the mall. One of Alex's favorite places to go and Mom's cause after a few hours of running around and playing; by the time we get home the little one is all run down and ready for a nap. I wish Kids could share some of there Energy with us cause I could sure use some. Whenever we go to the mall I always have to bring about $5.00 in quarters so Alex can go on the little kid rides. Then the other time is spent going up and down either the Elevators or escalator stairs. And then finally end our time by walking around and around about 10 times the water fountain outside in the cold 40 degree weather. The mall is a great place to go when you want to get out of the house and want something to do that's not expensive. Have a Great Day Friends and Family!

Fall/Halloween 2009

For a little family together time we went to Fort Gordon Army base where they were having a OctoberFest so we went to check it out. They had a Flea market & a mini carnival right by each other. We didn't go on any rides but it was fun to walk around plus get some Carmel Apples to snack on (Yummy). I've never really been into Halloween but having a kid makes it more fun being able to dress up & go Trick or Treating. We decided to go to our church's Halloween party, there was lots of little games for the little kids to play and trick or treating door to door inside cause it was to cold to do a trunk or treat outside. It was neat to see all the different costumes and ideas people had. The Weather decided to make it rain on Halloween Day so there wasn't too many people out, luckily it stopped for a hour so we weren't completly wet. When we returned home with our load of candy,we dumped out Alex's Elmo bucket. Alex sat down by all the candy and threw a side all the chocolate and picked out the suckers and gummy candies and ran off with them so his mommy/daddy couldn't have them. Alex doesn't like chocolate so I'm happy to eat the chocolate leftovers. Overall we had a good time and we're now looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas Time. Happy Holidays to Ya'll!
